Eunice M. Lewis

Eunice M. Lewis nee Patterson, age 97, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010. She is survived by her sons: Richard Lois Lewis of Crown Point and W. Dean Polly Jane Lewis of Hobart, IN; grandchildren: Michael Lewis, Cheryl Eastham, Diana Lynn Lewis, Scott Lewis, Steven Lewis, James Baron, John Baron, and Don Baron, who was very special to Eunice; great-grandchildren: Lauren Lewis, Josh, Sarah, and Maggie Eastham, Amanda and Michael Lewis, Samantha Baron and Ashley Secrest ; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Haze Lewis; daughter: Nancy Baron, and grandsons: Dean Stephan and Gregg Lewis. Eunice was a longtime member of Bethel Church. She was retired from Gary National Bank and was an auxiliary volunteer at Methodist Hospital for many years. Eunice enjoyed 4th of July picnics with the family at Miller Beach and other holiday get togethers, bible study group at Bethel Church and fishing in Wisconsin with her husband, Haze. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Church, 10202 Broadway, Crown Point, IN, with Pastor Steve Dewitt and Pastor Gary Butler officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN, and on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel Church.
