Esther F. Mandich

ESTHER F. MANDICH (nee Krause) age 93 of Portage formerly of Glen Park passed away Monday March 21 2011. She is survived by her three sons: Thomas (Martha) of CA George (Pamela) of Merrillville Raymond of MN grandchildren: Frances (Ray) Eller Heather (Joshua) Potter Thomas A. Mandich Jr. Lindsay (William) Fairbairn Emily Mandich 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband George A. Mandich two brothers William and Carl Krause two sisters Dorothy Pilsitz and Minnie MacDonald. Esther was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a member of Eastern Star Olive Chapter #396 Hobart Elks Lodge #1152 Vivians Society Daughters of the Nile Sheet & Tin Retirees and Saxon Lodge Branch 40. Esther was a graduate of Horace Mann High School Class of 1935. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Thursday March 24 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m with the Vivian service at 4:00 p.m. Daughters of the Nile service at 7:00 p.m and Olive Chapter #396 Eastern Star service at 7:15 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday March 25 2011 DIRECTLY at Emmanuel Lutheran Church 5375 Harrison St. Merrillville with Rev. Charles Strietelmeier officiating. There will be a half-hour of visitation prior to services. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital or Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
