Esther Elizabeth Munguia

February 26, 1946 - February 10, 2010

Esther Elizabeth Munguia, (Yanz, Farless) age 63, of Westville, died Wednesday, February 10 at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso, after a courageous battle with cancer. The service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Earl Road Christian Church with Pastor Dennis Gamuaf officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service at the church. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo, MI. Esther was born February 26, 1946 in Madison, IN to Chester and Elizabeth (Wright) Dombrowski, both of whom preceded her in death. On September 19, 1992 she married Rene Munguia, who survives. Also surviving are her children Richard (Ann) Farless, Jr. of Michigan City, Shawn (Heather) Farless of Hampstead, NC , Robbin (Farless) Johnston of Chesterton, Darcy (Lisa) Munguia of Chesterton, Amy Webb of Fremont, OH, and Sandy Omar of Cairo, Egypt , brothers Randy (Kathy) Yanz of Show Low, AZ, Jack Yanz of Scottsdale, AZ and Harry (Robin) Yanz of Show Low, AZ, sister Christine Bueckler of San Marcos, CA, grandchildren Danielle Wiley, Jessica Mote, Nikki Munguia, Gage Farless, Troy Farless, Kaley Munguia, Magen Johnston, Trent, Madison and Madlen Farless, Kia Munguia and TJ Johnston, and her best friend Jetta Masters of New Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her twin brother Chester Harry Yanz, who died April 19, 2007, and her stepfather Harry Yanz, who raised Esther from early childhood. Esther was a consultant in the printing business for many years. She had worked at Express Press and Foster Printing locally for many years. She was a classy lady and everyone enjoyed her keen eye for fashion. She loved gardening, painting, crocheting, and was very artistically creative. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, nana and friend. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, and will remain forever an angel in her family’s eyes. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
