Erwin J. Rick age 83, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009. He is survived by wife, Ruth nee Hein of 57 years. 3 Daughters: Mary Frances Zarych of Lowell, Gloria Jean Mark Timblin of Fl, Rose Ann Steve Weess of IL. 2 Sons: Vincent Rick of Crown Point, Dennis Rick of Michigan City, 7 Grandchildren: Jonathan Linda Zarych, Jennifer Zarych, Robert Timblin, Rose Timblin, Tyler Weess, Jessica Rick and Brian Rick Sisters: Rita Breitenstein, Sister Anna Clara Rick, Coletta Walter Rau, Eunice Max Warren, Alice Ralph Doffin Sister- in-law: Elsie Rick and many nieces and nephews Funeral Prayers will be said at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point on Wednesday, May 13, at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church 312 E. Joliet St. Crown Point, IN with Rev. Pat Kalich officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be held at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 2 Blocks East of Broadway on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Mr. Rick was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Crown Point, He was a World War II Army Veteran serving the Pacific, and a member of the American Legion Fred Schmidt Post #20 in Crown Point, Erwin was a member of the V.F.W. Crown Point Memorial Post # 6446, a member of Disabled American Veteran Chapter and belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council 3840, Cedar Lake. Mr. Rick retired from LTV Steel and was a life long farmer. He will be greatly missed by all whom loved him.
