She was a good school teacher at Park. I had her in the sith grade, so did my brothers before me, and my sister after me back in the 1930 - 1950's

Mrs. Richmond was my 6th grade teacher at Edgewood. She was a major influence in my decision to become a teacher. I had the privilege of speaking with her a couple of months ago. She was happy to know that she was remembered...we even talked about her units on birds, leaves, and rocks, her book club, and the writing contests she sponsored! She was surprised that I remembered those parts of her 6th grade class...but I'm not. Mrs. Richmond was one of those teachers who left a lasting impact on her students, no matter how old they become!

Mrs. Richmond it will always be. Every member of our family was privileged to have you at Park School. You have never forgotten a member of our family since then. You truly were an example to all who knew you. One of your many students who became a better person for being taught by you. Sincerely. Florence Shaver for all the members of the Nowfel Family. Thank you.

They say that everyone experiences a teacher that makes a difference in ones life. A teacher that you remember for the rest of your life because of the person they were and how much you enjoyed that grade. For me Mrs. Richmond was certainly that special teacher. She was my 6th grade teacher at Park Elementary School in 1952-53 and I have never forgotten her. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend services because of my job and now another phase of my life has ended. The home I grew up in is gone, the grade school is gone, my high school is no more and now my favorite teacher is gone. My prayers are with Mrs. Richmond and our "South American Club"--she made learning fun!!
