Elizabeth M. “Betty” Lalwani nee Krahulec, age 71, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Cicero, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Narain “Nari” of 42 years; son, DeWayne “Butch” Grace Bedford of Berwyn, IL and grandchildren, Matthew and Ian Bedford of Berwyn, IL. She is preceded in death by her son, David Bedford. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, NOTE: NEW LOCATION – 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN with Chaplain Shirley Short, MDIV officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre. Betty was blessed with many friends whom she cherished. She also was a member of the Steel City Kennel Club and a lover of all animals. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of dear Elizabeth's passing and send my deepest condolences to her family and friends. I am so very sorry for your loss... While I knew Elizabeth only through email correspondence and a few phone conversations, I came to care for her deeply these past few years. She possessed a graceful wisdom and sharp wit which inspired me greatly. I will always remember this fine lady lovingly. May her memory be eternal.

It was with great sadness that I read the news of Elizabeth's passing on. Hers was a beautiful soul that made this world a little brighter.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Although we had never met in person, Elizabeth and I became more than friends; we became the sisters that neither of us had. I've so many fond memories of her, my friend, my confidant. I will miss you, but you will forever be in my heart. Mary
