ELDA L. WILLIS “LEE”, age 89 of Hobart; formerly of Salt Creek & Portage, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
She is survived by her four children: Gale (Linda) Reidelberger, Marsha (Gary York) Coots, Melinda (Jerry) Noland, Melissa (Don) Seitzinger; 9 grandchildren: Kyle Coots, Krista Kolozar, Kathleen Seitzinger, Patrick & Christopher Noland, Sarah Barrientez, Shane & Scott Reidelberger, Kaydence McAdams; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Max (Billie) Pugh; and her many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Marshall Willis; parents Roy & Mary Pugh; and her four brothers.
Mrs. Willis was a member of Living Word Sanctuary, where she was a very devout practicing Christian. She was a graduate of Pickneyville High School, Illinois, Class of 1947, a certified beautician, and a secretary with Blowmax in St. Louis 15 years of service. She enjoyed going to the Bonner Senior Center in Portage to play Pinochle, Dominoes, and socializing with the group there. Lee loved tending to her many flower gardens and had a real zest for life. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at McCool Cemetery, Portage. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
