EDWARD L. BOSAK SR. age 91 of Merrillville passed away Tuesday January 11 2011. Survived by wife Eleanor of 69 years 3 children: Edward (Sandra) Bosak Jr. of Ohio Cindy (John) Shinovich of South Carolina & Peggy (Tom) Felinski of Merrillville 9 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother Francis Bosak. Mr. Bosak was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus Msgr. Ryder Council #4047. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retired executive director for the Gary Housing Authority. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway Merrillville) on Frinday from 2-8 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 15 2011 at 9:30 A.M. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 A.M. from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (5885 Harrison St. Merrillville) with Rev. Joseph Semancik officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimers Association of Indiana 50 E 91st St.Suite 100 Indianapolis IN 46242.

To the Family of Ed Bosak May God comfort you during these difficult days. I enjoyed working with Ed during the 80s with the City of Gary. He was highly respected in the field of public housing.

To the family of Ed Bosak: Ed & I worked together while he was Director of the Housing Authority and I was Deputy Director of the Model Cities Agency and Bill Staehle was Director. In the past three weeks we have lost two persons for whom I had great respect and admiration Bill & Ed. May God bless the families of both.

Were so sorry for your loss. Hope it helps to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We knew your father only slightly but always enjoyed seeing him. Try to remember all the good times it was most helpful to us.

He was genuinely loved by his co-workers as well as his subordinates and highly respected through out the Public Housing Industry in the state Indiana.
