EDWARD J. KUNAS age 83 of Valparaiso formerly of Ogden Dunes passed away Sunday February 28 2010.He is survived by his wife of 60 years Catherine two daughters: Deborah Kunas of Westville and Sandra Kelley of IL two brothers: Paul (Charlene) Kunas of Hobart Mike (Betty Mae) Kunas of Calumet Twp sister-n-law Catherine MillieKunas of Crown Point. Preceded in death by parents Andrew and Mary Kunas one brother Andrew Kunas.Edward was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church Valparaiso. He was a retired area manager for Ameritech with 30 years of service. Edward was a resident of Ogden Dunes for 45 years. He organized the Ogden Dunes Lions Club and was the Charter President. He was a past Lion District 25A Zone Chairman and Deputy District Governor. Edward was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
