Edna M. Oglesby, age 90, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Merrillville, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Edna is survived by her daughter: Linda Alex “Buzz” Christoff of Crown Point; son: Velton Mary Jane Oglesby of Augusta, Kansas; 3 grandchildren: Pete Christoff of Pomaia, Italy, Lisa Daniels of Augusta, Kansas and Toni Paul Porter of Wichita, Kansas; 4 great-grandchildren: Adam Kelsey, Chase, and Claire Daniels and Nicholas Cannady. She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis L. Oglesby in 2000. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN, with Chaplain Vince Gray officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral Home, Merrillville, IN. Edna was a former member of Merrillville United Methodist Church and retired from Montgomery Ward.
