Dorothy Yudt nee Sako, age 84, of Hebron, IN, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed away after a long illness. She was born in East Chicago, July 29, 1927. Dorothy is survived by her husband, William of 64 years; children: Cheryl Joseph Nash of Hebron, Dr. William Dr. Cecilia Calderon Yudt of Baltimore, MD and Cynthia James Kopp of San Antonio, TX; grandsons: Joseph, Timothy, James and Jason; granddaughters: Kimberly William and Joanna; great-grandchildren: Jamison, Joseph and Kristen; special nieces: Betty Snider, Evelyn Horvath, and Carolyn Sambor; dear niece and God-daughter, Gayle Koontz; special nephew and God-son, Delmar Kuchaes; many dear nieces and nephews; special cousin, Vivian Medonic; special friend, Mary Ann Bogielzyk; and dear sister-in-laws: Esther Stanley and Lois Sako. Dorothy was preceded in death by parents: Andrew Sr. and Tillie Sako; brothers: Andrew Jr., Julius and Ernest Sako; sisters: Anna Gardow, Ella Sako, Irene Olah, Margaret Strumski, Gizella Footitt and Ethel Kuchaes; and granddaughter, Megan Kopp. Dorothy was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and 55 year member of Bishop Noll Daughters of Isabella Circle #359. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM directly at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7667 E. 109th Ave., Crown Point, IN. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends and family may gather directly at the Church at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
