Dorothy “Dottie” Jacobsen Ramsey nee Klingerman, age 76, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, IN. She is survived by her sons, Michael Jacobsen of Crown Point, IN and Matt Jacobsen of Cedar Lake, IN, daughter-in-law, Sandra Jacobsen of Hobart, IN, granddaughter, Miranda Jacobsen, step-son, Woody Jr. Pam Ramsey of Crown Point, IN, and step-granddaughters, Tiffany and Courtney. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Floyd Jacobsen and 2nd husband, Woodrow Ramsey. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION- 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN, with Pastor Brenda Ludwig officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. American Legion Auxiliary service at 4:00 PM. Dottie was born February 12, 1937 on the south-side of Chicago, IL and was a graduate of Crown Point High School Class of 1952. She was a proud member of the American Legion Fred Schmidt Post #20 Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2659. Dottie volunteered her time unselfishly to work at the rummage sales at St. Matthias Catholic Church and worked at Dyer Hospital, the Crown Point Clinic and in the senior years of her life worked at South Shore Country Club.
