Doris was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1941. She was a
longtime faithful member of 1st United Methodist Church in Crown
Point. Doris lived an abundant life of love and service, loving those near
to her heart so well, filling any room she entered with joy and comfort,
and caring deeply for those around her. Doris could always be relied on
for remembering your special occasion, sharing stories of fond
memories as if they happened yesterday, and making the best cinnamon
rolls or strawberry preserves you ever tasted. She was beloved by all
who knew her and will be greatly missed.
It was Doris’s wish to be cremated and laid to rest next to her husband
and son at Bedford Cemetery in Monon, Indiana. There will be a
Celebration of Doris’s Life held at 1st United Methodist Church once the
COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. Please share your memories
