Doris Irene Nesvold, 70, of Boise Idaho and formerly of Michigan City, died of natural causes on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at home with her daughter at her side. Doris was born August 19, 1938 to Robert H. and Bessie S. (Button) Howard in Warm Springs, Ark. She was the eight of nine children. She resided in Michigan City over 50 years. As a single mother, she worked as a server while raising 2 children. Later, she worked for the Fegaras family at Rodini’s Restaurant and was promoted to management. She managed Rodini’s for over 30 years where she welcomed everyone with a smile until she retired in 2003. A few years later she moved to Idaho to be near her family. She lived the last 4 years of her life in Boise, Idaho with her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jeff Graham. Doris is survived by her daughter Sharon Graham of Boise, ID, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, her sisters Jan Lassiter of Waterford, MI, Stella Hunley of Jacksboro, TN and Virginia Wheaton of National City, MI. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard, her brothers Robert, Jerry Earman, Carmen and younger sister Connie. At her request she was cremated and laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2009.
