Doris E. Mock Patz, age 86, of Seattle, WA formerly of Crown Point, IN passed away on Monday February 2, 2009 She is survived by her son: Dr. John Patz of Seattle, WA 2 daughters: Dr. Penny Patz and Suzanne Edens both of Reno, NV 3 Grandchildren: Kathryn & Boone Patz and Jason Edens Sister: Joy Lollar of Oklahoma City, OK Preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Patz; second husband, Fred Mock; & 2 brothers. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday February 7, 2009 at 9:30 AM DIRECTLY at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery, 555 S. Indiana Ave. Crown Point, IN with Pastor David Kipp officiating. Doris was a lifetime member at Youche Country Club and member of the St. Anthony Auxillary. I can still hear her talking to my brother Paul and I while we waited at the kitchen steps at Youche for those delicious hamburgers she would make up. I remember Doris so well -- I met her when I was a child, when she worked at Youche. And she then became a very dear friend of my mom, Helen Dance, who died last March. As an adult, Doug and I enjoyed seeing Doris and Fred in Florida for many years. I will keep Doris and your family in my prayers during this difficult time. She was a really loving, caring woman. Doris moved to Florida with Fred Mock where they shared many years together. He passed about 10 years ago. She moved to Seattle 4 years ago to be closer to children and grandchildren. She had 3 1/2 healthy years there and we all enjoyed her company. Over the last few months her health has been failing and she slipped quietly away on February 2.
