DORIS E. BURKE age 85 of Merrillville passed away Monday March 23 2009. Survived by her sister Murial Maxine (late David) Boo of Chesterton step son Charles R. (Deborah) Burke of Merrillville step daughter Lilann (Nick) Sgouras of Valparaiso sister-in-law Mauren (Leo) Linoski of Miller six step grandchildren: Jeremy Jeffery Jennifer Robert Nicholas and Lucas four great grandchildren: Miranda Mattalynn Ethan and Nathan nephews: David (Cathy) Boo of Lockport IL Daniel (Cindy) Boo of Kouts IN Donald (Fran) Boo of FL Paul (Michelle) Haluska of St. John niece Sandy (Steve) Pirtle of Arizona great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Charley Burke brother-in-law Arley Burke sisters-in-law: Louise (Paul) Haluska and Jewell Prosnik. Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church Merrillville and Alpha Circle. She was a graduate of Chesterton High School Class of 1942. Her greatest joy was ministering to shut-ins. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Wednesday March 25 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday March 26 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Rev. Richard J. Chrispell and Rev. Thomas Jones officiating. At rest Lindenwood Cemetery Ft. Wayne.

What I couldnt say at the funeral (cause I get too choked up) is that my favorite times with Doris is when I would grab 2 Big Macs 1 lrg. Fry (we would share) and drinks and visit her in C.P. After eating we would get on the computer and I would help her with questions that she had. Fun and Happy Times!!!
