Dora I. Ruehl nee Roberts, age 88, of Crown Point, IN, passed away Monday, December 3, 2007 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village in Demotte, IN. She is survived by 3 children: Richard Sandra Ruehl of Demotte, IN Roy Doris Ruehl of Crown Point, IN Myron Elaine Ruehl of Crown Point, IN 16 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild Brother: Fred Shirley Roberts of Crown Point, IN Sister: Cora Hanlon of Crown Point, IN Sister: Amy Drackert of Crown Point, IN Preceded in death by: Husband- August; Parents- Edgar & Florence Roberts; 4 Brothers and 2 Sisters Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1288 S. Indiana Ave., Crown Point, IN with Pastor Dan Barnum-Steggerda officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Friends may visit with the family at St. John's United Church of Christ on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon. Mrs. Ruehl was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Crown Point, IN where she sang in the choir and played bells for church services. She was retired from U.S. Steel, an avid bowler, a past member of Good Sam's Camp Club, and a member of the Liberty Park Bunco Club. Memorials may be given to St. John's United Church of Christ or Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village or Meals on Wheels.
