David J. Pruett, age 64, of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009. He is survived by his wife: Judy of 42 years; 2 daughters: Christy Pruett of Cedar Lake, IN and Caryn Drew Gerolimos of Crown Point, IN; 3 grandchildren: Stephanie Bender, Nick Gerolimos and James Gerolimos; sisters: Countess Ed Hon, Kathy Tim Oney and Cindy Fred Kish; brother: Barry Cyndy Pruett of Crown Point, IN. Preceded in death by: parents- Robert & Nettie Pruett and brother- Robin Pruett. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. 2 blocks east of Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Interment at Oakland Memory Lanes in Dolton, IL. Friends may visit at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre on Thursday, January 15, 2009 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. David retired from Walts Food Stores with over 15 years of service. His passions were building homes for his family, watching his grandchildren play baseball and especially spending time with his family. Dear Aunt Judy, Karen and Christy, I just wanted to say what a special uncle David was to me and my family. I'll never forget picking him up for breakfast on Tuesdays and spending time with him. It seems that I was one that could always make uncle David laugh. I always knew uncle David thought the world of his family including his nephews and niece. He was a special person and will never be forgotten. I know he is in heaven now holding hands with his father, mother, and brother looking down smiling.
