Darlene A. Baker (nee Haney), age 72, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 in Michigan City, IN. She was born on November 23, 1951 in Douglas, MI to Philip and Marian (Britton) Haney who preceded her in death.
Darlene has been married to the love of her life, Steven Baker for 50 years. Steven still resides in Michigan City.
She is also survived by her children: Doug (Heather Swistek) Baker and Hillary (Troy) Frever; grandchildren: Quinn, Cruiz, and Kennedy Baker, Jack and Landon Frever, and Paige (Kyle) Siddall; great grandson: Carter Siddall; siblings: Bruce (Vicki) Haney, Donna Batagianis, Sharon (Doug) Weber, and Judy (Cary) Costello; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Darlene was a 1969 Elston High School graduate. She worked as an Office Administrator at Weber Family Dentistry for 25 years. Darlene volunteered at the Salvation Army and was a very crafty person. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a very active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the Exchangette Club of Michigan City. Darlene enjoyed traveling with her family.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army.
There will be a memorial visitation held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 818 Franklin St., Michigan City, with Pastor Mark Reshan officiating.
