DAPHNE THOMPSON age 89 of Crown Point formerly of Martinsville IL passed away Tuesday March 16 2010. Survived by two daughters: Angela (Jack) McLean of East Lyme CT Amy (Tom) Brown of Valparaiso three grandchildren: Jeff (Tori) Brown Carey (Brian) Kerr and Kim Dickinson four great grandchildren: Brandon Joshua Issac and Emma. Preceded in death by son Monty husband Walter parents Jesse and Alma Hurst brother Polk Hurst. Mrs. Thompson was an active member of East Lake Baptist Church. She was a member of the church knitting club Bridge Club St. Anthony Medical Center Auxiliary and the Crown Point Womens Club. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School Martinsville IL. Daphne was a devoted wife mother and grandmother. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service 811 E. Franciscan Drive Crown Point (on State Road 55 south of State Road 231) Friday March 19 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral service will begin promptly at 4:00 pm at Pruzin & Little Chapel with Rev. Steve Bongard officiating. A Committal Service will be held Saturday March 20 2010 at 1:00 pm at Ridgelawn Cemetery Martinsville IL. Your mom used to help give an intensive in-home therapy treatment to my daughter Kathy Keller who had cerebral palsy. We used the Philadelphia Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential patterning method during the years of 1967 and 1973. There were about 300 volunteers through those years and your mom was one of them. She was recruited by Mrs. Ray Rogers (Mil) whom you may remember. Our Kathy gained much by the TLC of all of the ladies who helped us. I am sure your mom is enjoying Our Lord and heaven right now with Mil my Kathy and her dad Russ Keller as well as with your dad and brother and family. God bless you all.
