Dale S. Lantz, age 77, of Michigan City, died Tuesday, May 25 at 10:40 p.m. at The Arbors of Michigan City. The service will be held Saturday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Maxey of Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. Dale was born October 27, 1932 in Wanatah, IN to Virgil and Ethel (Sypult) Lantz, both of whom preceded him in death. Surviving is his son Mark (Billie Jean) Lantz of Michigan City, daughter Stephanie Lantz of Michigan City, grandchildren Shawnna Peek, Shannon Brown, Mark Allan Lantz II, Zana Sue II Lantz, and Aaron Joseph Lantz, 4 great-grandchildren, and sister Joyce Biddle of Michigan City. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Sams, brothers Duane and Phil Lantz, and sisters Lorraine McClain, Virgilia Wilson, and Phyllis Rogers; and grandson Dale William Lantz. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had been employed as a car salesman, Indiana State Prison guard, and at Polo in Lighthouse Mall. He was a devoted member of Pentecostal Church of God. Dale had a great sense of humor. He also held the top salesman award in 1976 for Ford Lincoln Mercury in the U.S. Memorial contributions may be made to Pentecostal Church of God.
