Curtis Stockwell, age 73, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009. He is survived by 1 daughter, Debbie Mike Turturillo of Crown Point, IN; 3 grandsons, Steve Sarena Petalas, Jason Tammi Petalas and Chris Turturillo, 1 sister, Marge Machacek of Crown Point, IN and numerous nieces and nephews and close friends . He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION- 2 blocks east of Broadway at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN, with Pastor Dan Barnum-Steggerda officiating. Interment at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point, IN. Curtis was retired from Inland Steel with over 20 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Stockwell was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
