Collette D. Meyer

Collette D. Meyer, age 89, of New Carlisle, died Monday, July 20 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, IN. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. CST at the New Prairie Christian Fellowship, 31519 Chicago Trail, New Carlisle, IN, with Pastor Wayne Gerber officiating. Mrs. Meyer was born October 18, 1919 in Stockton, IL to Roy B. and Fannie L. (Williams) Streeter, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 26, 1941 in Michigan City she married Alvin H. Meyer, he passed away July 1, 1996. Surviving is her son Michael B.(Sandra) Meyer of Michigan City, daughter Dorine C. (Warren) Thiede of Michigan City; grandchildren Brigette (Michael) Brown of Winter Garden, Fl, Bradley Meyer of LaPorte, IN, , Beth Thiede of Michigan City,and Natalie (Joseph) Brath of Brooklyn Park, MN. great-grandchildren Allison and Tyler Brown, Katelyn and Emma Brath, and sister Nancy Suter of Church Hill, TN. She was preceded in death by sisters Irene Agemy and Jennie Mae Stan, and brother Bernard W. Streeter Mrs. Meyer had been a homemaker. She was a member of New Prairie Christian Fellowship . She loved to fish, and enjoyed baking treats for her family and friends. She was a very devoted grandmother.
