Colleen K. Mooneyhan , age 51, died Saturday January 24, 2009 at 4:13 A.M. at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital after a lengthily illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 A.M. at the Carlisle Funeral Home, with Rev. John D. Hall officiating. The Family will greet relatives and friends Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service On Wednesday at the funeral home.

Colleen was born February 16, 1957 in Michigan City to Arnold and Betty Jean (Scott) Eisele. Both have preceded her in death. On July 14, 1984 she was united in marriage to Steven R. Mooneyhan in Michigan City.

Surviving is her husband Steve, Sons, Gregory and Jeffrey Mooneyhan both of Michigan City. Brother, Arnold (Lynn) Eisele of Sun City West Arizona. Nieces and Nephews Jessica, Steven, Sarah, Jennifer, James, Jacob, Kelli, John D. and John M., Brother in Laws, James Mooneyhan of LaPorte, Jerry (Beverly) Mooneyhan and John (Marjorie) Mooneyhan both of LaPorte; Sister in law Sharon (Bradley) Peters, of LaPorte. Very Special friend Rosie (Louis) Hansford of Valparaiso.

Colleen had been employed at Walgreen’s for over 25 years as a Bookkeeper and Cosmetician. Colleen loved to watch her sons play sports, She enjoyed listening to music and especially the music of Eric Clapton She always considered her co-workers at Walgreens as an extension of her family, and her family acknowledges all the love and support that was given to them by her “Walgreen Family” during Colleen’s courageous battle, and was an inspiration to everyone who she knew.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Steve, Greg and Jeff. Colleen, my 'Sweet Pea' will always be in my heart. She was a good friend to me and my family. I will truly miss her and her pleasant laugh and smile. A golden ray of sunshine, she always brightened my day. I am happy to have been able to share our many years with Walgreens together. Becky

I wish to extend my sympathies to Colleen's family. I remember her as having a wonderful sense of humor. I remember how she looked forward to becoming an Aunt when my son Steven was born. She loved being an Aunt to both my children very much. She had an infectious smile and very independent spirit. She fought a courageous battle against her illness. Her spirit and the fond memories of her will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and she will comfort them. Again, my heartfelt sympathies to her family; especially to her two sons and husband.

Steve I just wanted you to know how very sorry I was to hear about the passing of your mother and now Colleen. You and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers.

There are no words to describe the impact my aunt colleen had on people and how much she will be missed. She has taught me a new meaning of being a fighter. She had so much life and laughter to her. Aunt Colleen, you were like a second mother to me growing up and the memories I carry in my heart will be there forever. I was watching old home movies of us all last night and we used to have so much fun and that I will remember you for more than anything. Just the way you talked and the way you laughed. You were my favorite aunt and I know you will be with me everyday now as my angel. Aunt Colleen, I love you more than you know and I will never forget you. This is such a hard reality to accept for me to even have to write this for you of all people, but I know you would want everyone to stay strong for you. I am saddened to hear of Colleen's passing, I grew up with Colleen, she was a wonderful person, very strong and courageous. My prayers are with Steve and the rest of her family during this hard time. God Bless & comfort Colleen and her family. Jude (Schuman) New

Words cannot express how much my aunt Colleen will be missed. She was a wonderful woman with a big heart and would have done anything for her friends and family no matter how sick she was. She was a strong independant woman who fought her illness to the end. She will always be remembered to me as my favorite aunt. I wish I could have had more time with her. I miss her very much and will always love her. This is a very sad time for all friends and family but I know she would have wanted us to be happy and celebrate all the good times we had with her. Although I didn't get much time to spend with Colleen and her family, I knew growing up she was a loving person. My prayers go out to her and her family.
