In memory of Christopher Julius Jacobsen, Alison lit a candle
Not a day goes by that I don't think about the good memories I hold near to my heart. Thanks for your old blue Ford truck. It is running great! Much love. Al
Jake was an absolutely great guy. I covered many of his games at MSU for the Wichita Falls Record News and lived with him in the dorm and shared many great times with him. A truly decent person. And, wow, could he jump!
Chris-you were the best big brother a little girl could have. You always made the trip home fun either on your shoulders or the front of your motorcycle. I love you, Al
To all the family: Vic and I were deeply saddened to hear the news about Chris. Vic and Chris played on the MSU team from 73-75, then Vic graduated and became an assistant coach to Gerald. I was in Wichita Falls, last week, watching my son, Jon Trilli, play for Midwestern. They announced Chris had passed away, during the game. Vic and I were married before we went to MU, so Christ spent many times at our apartment, having meals with us and some parties at the pool as well. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Vic and Kathy Trilli, 6802 West Shade Ct. Wichita, KS 67212. PS Vic is the Athletic Director at Newman University, in Wichita, KS.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Jake, the John Belushi of the Midwestern Basketball Team. I met Jake two years before attending Midwestern. i didn't get the full impact of his Legendary Status until being around him on a daily basis. His over achieving work ethic on the basketball court was contageous. More than the Basketballism , is that Jake was just a good guy who cared. even though you have left this earth, your spirit and Legendary Status will never be forgotten. May the Spirit move you MY BROTHER. ROBERT Burgman Jr BURG
I was so sorry to hear about Chris. I was one of the cheerleaders at Midwestern State University during the time his basketball team was making all the headlines. He was a very nice and well-liked person in college, and he will be remembered fondly by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him in Wichita Falls in the 70's. Sincerely, Pat Grimshaw Myers MSU Class of 1977
I was saddened with the news of Jake's passing. We were teamates at MSU. He was a talented basketball player, but more importantly, he had a way of making everyone laugh and enjoy his company. It is an honor to call him a friend and teamate. We mourn his loss but will never forget his spirit. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Jake - a former teammate and good friend. Our years at Midwestern were interesting to say the least and you made sure we always had a good time. Rest in peace and God bless! Z
My Dad and I worked with Jake while he was in Wichita Falls, Tx. Jake always showed up with a smile on his face and left at the end of the day the same way. He was always friendly and courteous to everyone he met. I can remember his laugh as if he were here right now. We are very sorry.
My sympathies to 'Jake's family. I worked with him in Wichita Falls, Texas after his MSU basketball days and he was great to be around. His MSU basketball team was my all-time favorite. Larry Bankhead
Jake was a great guy and a terrific basketball teammate. He always made everyone laugh and have fun when we played together in college. I will never forget him. His passing really puts into perspective how short and fragile life can be. My sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends.
I played basketbal with Chris at MU at the time when we played, it's now called MSU, when we played we were the Indians, now they are the Mustangs, they will never have a group of guys again like us. I'm sorry to hear about your lost, I often wondered where Chris was, I think he came to the college with a guy named Dick wilson. We had some good times and I will too miss ole Chris. He was a great copetitor in practice and the games. As I close my prayes are with the Jacobsen family and may God continue to comfort and bless you, a friend always Pops
