Charles R. Stone, age 74, of Michigan City, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, IN. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Charles was born June 28, 1935 in Rough, KY to Richard and Dela Stone, both of whom preceded him in death. Surviving are his children Rhonda Stone of Arthur, IL; Rick Stone, Dongola, IL, Kevin (Ellen) Stone, Michigan City, Roger (Tammy) Stone, Michigan City, and Angie (John) Woodard, Arthur, IL, brother Hugh (Joy) Stone of TX and sisters Charlotte (Lloyd) Breshears of KY and Carol White, IL. Charles was a local businessman for many years. He was grandfather to many, great-grandfather to a few, and will be missed by all. Memorial contributions may be made to donor choice.
