CHARLES LEONARD OLENA age 42 of Cedar Lake passed away Saturday June 17 2006. He was born October 7 1963 in Gary Indiana son of Orville and Betty (Chase) OLena of Crown Point Indiana. He graduated in 1981 from Crown Point High School and entered the Navy in 1982 retiring in 1997. He Married Amy (Lopez) in 1984 in Guam. Survived by wife Amy their son Charles Arnel OLena of Cedar Lake and daughter Kimberly Ann OLena of Louisianna 2 step-daughters Mary Joy Lopez of Crown Point and Mary Ann Lopez of Virginia 4 granddaughters: Auriana Shannon Keeley and Mercedes father Orville Joseph OLena of Chesterton sister Cheryl (Dennis) Miller of Chesterton brother Dannie J. (Linda) OLena of Crown Point 3 nieces and 1 nephew 4 great nieces and 3 great nephews. Preceded in death by mother Betty Gene OLena. Charles was a member of First United Methodist Church of Crown Point an employee of Swift Trucking in California and Mid States Trucking in Michigan City IN. He was currently employed with Fed Ex in Chicago Heights IL. Friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service 811 East Franciscan Drive (on State Road 55 south of State Road 231) Crown Point Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 22 2006 from Pruzin & Little Chapel with Rev. Dennis Shock officiating. At rest Maplewood Memorial Cemetery Crown Point.

To Amy and children We are shocked and saddened by the news of your familys loss. For all the years we have known Betty and Orville and the kids and then you and your and chucks children we have known you all to be close and to be there for each other whatever life brought you. Its a loss like this that makes it even more important to have that love and support. You also have it here from family friends. You are all in our prayers. I was one of Chucks classmates at school and church growing up. He lived just a few blocks away from our family. My parents and his parents were friends for many many years.
