CHARLES “LOUIE” BURGESS, age 73 of Cedar Lake, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Gwen; five children: Pete (Leslie) Burgess of MI, Joy Libich of LaPorte, IN, Louie Burgess of LaPorte, IN, Tiffany (Ryan) Strode of Cedar Lake, Sarah Burgess of Crown Point; sister, Jackie (late Larry) Stevens of Cedar Lake; six grandchildren: Riley and Nolan Burgess, Aaron and Audrey Burgess, Autumn and Addison Strode. Preceded in death by son, Mark Burgess; mother, Ethel Shinkle and father, Cecil Burgess. Charles attended Woodlawn Nazarene Church. He was a retired truck mechanic from Pepsi Distributing, Munster and formerly of Wonder Bread Bakery, Hammond. Charles was a member of Teamsters Local 142. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Servcice, 811 E. Franciscan Dr., (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55) Crown Point, on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, from Pruzin & Little Chapel with Rev. Jerry Ulrich officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.
