Charles “Chuck” W. Thompson II, age 68 of Lowell, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2021.
He is survived by wife of 46 years, Mary Lou (Swanson); three children: Laura (Christopher) Ashcraft, Alyssa (Erik) Hildebrandt, and Charles “Chip” (Megan) Thompson III; grandchildren: Christopher (Heather), James (Kim), Ryan (Kayla) Ashcraft, Samantha (Trey) Atwood, Tate and Cade Hildebrandt, Charles “Chase” IV, Evan and Graham Thompson; great grandchildren: Alyson and CJ Ashcraft; sister, Jane Thompson; brother, John Thompson.

Charles was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crown Point where he was an usher, member of the softball and dartball teams, handy man ministry, and mission building trips. He enjoyed fishing and golfing and watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports. He was a sheet metal worker for Local #20. Chuck was a graduate of Highland High School.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Drive, Crown Point from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 directly at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 250 S. Indiana Ave, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Henderson officiating. There will be ½ hour visitation prior to funeral service. At rest, Historic Maplewood Cemetery, Crown Point. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church and School, or the Alzheimer’s Association. Masks are required and please adhere to social distancing.

Chuck was and is such a wonderful person to know.  He helped in building a ramp to our home when my Dad was very ill.  We shared an interest in golf and he was always so kind to me.  I enjoyed working the funeral luncheons with him.  He will be missed, but I know that he is in perfect peace and joy with Jesus in Heaven.  May God’s comfort be with you, Mary Lou, and your dear family.
