Celia B. Pieczul (Marzynski), age 90, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Celia is the mother of Alan (Gina) Pieczul; and grandmother to Joseph (J.D.), Toni and Billy; Celia is survived by her niece, Kathy (Bob) Hess; nephew, Bruce (Mary Sue) Firchau; and countless other nieces and nephews as well as her extended loving family the Sloughs and Schultz.

Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pieczul; brothers: Joseph (Audrey) Marzynski and Louie (Diane) Marzynski; her parents: Joseph and Lottie Marzynski; niece, Joy Marzynski; parents-in-law: Mary and Victor Pieczul; brother-in-law, sister-in-law and numerous cousins.

Celia worked over 30 years in real estate as a bookkeeper.  She was a devout member to St. Matthias Catholic Church. Celia loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother to her family.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral Prayers will be said at 9:15 AM at the funeral home on Thursday, June 8, 2023 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 101 W Burrell Dr., Crown Point, IN 46307.

Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Celia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
