CARL B. BRONKOSTANKOVIC age 83 of Hodgenville KY formerly of Merrillville passed away Monday June 16 2008 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. Survived by beloved wife Ann (nee Mesaric) son Karl (Dawn) Stankovic of KY daughter Judi Stankovic of PA grandchildren: Caitlin (Kenny) Berry of OK Karl (Brandi) Schmidt of MD Heather (Mike) Lenberger of KY great grandchildren: Natalie and Zachary Lenberger of KY sister Valentine Porturica of Lamont IL several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and two sisters. Bronko was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Gary. He was a life long resident of Lake Co. Indiana a retiree of U.S. Steel 36Slab Mill 44Blooming Mill and 46Slab Mill. Upon retirement he also worked part time at Stilinovich and Wiatrolik Funeral Home. He was Chairman of Local 1014 Safety Committee for 12 years and enjoyed cooking at USWA District 31-7 golf outings for many years. Bronko loved the United States flag and the country he served during WWII as Sgt. with the 8th Armored Division. He was a lifetime Charter member of the WWII Memorial Fund member of 8th Armored Division Association Battle of the Bulge Association and American Legion Post 430. He was a past member of Club Cara Local USW 1014 DCR Lodge #170 SOAR AARP and Club of Croatian Retirees. Friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service 6360 Broadway Merrillville Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Legion service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday June 20 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 9:30 a.m. from St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church 330 E. 45th Ave. Gary with Rev.
