Budding “Bud” B. Nelson, age 90, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point, IN. He is survived by 3 daughters, Karen Bill Woolsey of Wallpaca, WI, Rachel Donald Zelaya of Crown Point, IN and Jackie Acres of Irving, TX; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Connie McDonald of Wallpaca, WI. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alice. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 12718 Marshall St., Crown Point, IN with Rev. Deborah Woolsey and Rev. Spencer E. Thiel officiating. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Crown Point, IN from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Bud retired from Merz Machine & Tool as a machinist with 50 years service. He was a founding member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church.
