Beverly A. Chapman

October 9, 1933 - April 13, 2009

Beverly A. Chapman, age 75, of Michigan City, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, April 13, 2009. Services will be held Wednesday, April 15 at at 2:00 p.m. at Carmel Cemetery, LaPorte. Mrs. Chapman was born October 9, 1933 in Chicago to William and Anna (Profmer)Schiefelbein, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 26, 1954 in Chicago she married Lloyd Chapman, he survives in Michigan City. Also surviving is her son Lesley Chapman of Chesterton. Mrs. Chapman had been a secretary at the AK Smith Career Center for 25 years. She was a selfless and devoted wife and mother. She was an avid gardener and cross stitcher. Memorial contributions may be made to the LaPorte Visiting Nurse Assoc. or the Independent Cat Society.

Lloyd, Les: I am so sorry to hear that Bev has passed. My prayers are with you. Bev was one of the first people I met in Michigan City, and without her support, I doubt that I would have been half as successful.
