Betty Lou Dibble, age 77, of Michigan City, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Care Center.
Services will be held Friday, July 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, with Pastor Kim Cole officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. Mrs. Dibble was born September 3, 1931 in Pullman, Washington to Homer and Nettie (Osborne) Laney, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Ray Dibble, he survives in Michigan City. Also surviving are her sons Rodney (Barb) Dibble of Indianapolis and Randy (Cathryn) Dibble of Michigan City, grandchildren Heather, Sara, Ryan, Jeremy, Brandon, Sarrah and Taylor, great-grandchildren Cienna and Austyn, brother Albert (Rosemary) Laney of Lewiston, ID. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Laney and sister Juanita Youngman.
Mrs. Dibble was a homemaker.
Betty was a loving and devoted caregiver for multiple generations for her family, especially for her grandchildren. She was a nature lover and an avid bird and deer watcher.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
