Betty J. Ross nee Sandlin, age 77, of Wheatfield, IN passed away on Friday April 3, 2009 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso, IN. She is survived by 3 daughters: Lisa Ross Raymond Pfister of Redding, CA, Linda Eric Nelson of Valparaiso, IN & Joan Bill Allen of Franklin Grove, IL 8 Grandchildren: Mia & Renee Goulding, Jamie Jackie Heather, Jennifer Bob Grace, Nicole Patterson, Stacy Terry Smock, Sam Mary Beth Jackson & Jeff Deanna Jackson 11 Great Grandchildren Sister: Barbara Foy 4 Brothers: Paul, Ace Theresa, Eugene and Carl Sandlin Companion: Lanny Toomer Preceded in death by Husband: Frank Ross Children: Joyce Jackson & Edwin Boyden Parents: Asbury & Minta Sandlin Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre NOTE: NEW LOCATION at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN 2 Blocks East of Broadway with Rev. Craig Forwalter officiating. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point from 4:00-7:00 PM Betty was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Hebron, IN. She was an elementary and middle school teacher. She taught reading for 23 years within the Lake Central School Corporation. Betty also taught CCD for 15 years at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church and was a Past-President of the Mothers of Twins Club. Betty was a master quilter, excellent seamstress and avid gardener.
