Mrs. Bette D. Seeling, 84, of Michigan City, IN died Friday, February 13, 2009 at St. Anthony Memorial Health Center. Family services will be held with burial of ashes in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Carlisle Funeral Home. Mrs. Seeling was born March 29, 1924 in Farmington, IL to Lewis and Grace (Walton) Brown who are deceased. On September 18, 1948 she married Kenneth W. Seeling in Michigan City. He survives. Also surviving are sons Bradford Seeling of Gainesville, Fl and Martin Seeling of Havana, FL. She was preceded in death by a daughter Professor Ellen E. Seeling, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Mrs. Seeling was long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, was a member of the Michigan City Art League and was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital. She was employed by Bodine Printing and Citizens Bank as a teller. She enjoyed traveling and oil painting. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.
