Bernice J. Georgieff

Bernice J. Georgieff, age 85 of Crown Point, formerly of Merrillville passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. She is survived by 3 daughters: Cynthia Pandoff of Crown Point, Peggy Carl Bahus of Wheatland, WY and Tina Adams of Orland Park, IL; 4 grandchildren: Bill Beth Hanson, Kevin Bahus and Jonathan and Christopher Adams; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Bill Georgieff. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 starting with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville to St. Joan of Arc Church, 200 E. 78th Avenue, Merrillville for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Rev. Andrew J. Corona officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation will be held at Geisen Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. service being offered by Blessed Sacrament Rosary Sodality. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Bernice was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Church and had been actively involved in the Blessed Sacrament Rosary Sodality, serving as a past officer. She was also a member of the Northwest Indiana Retirees, Kosciusko Post #207 American Legion Auxiliary, Croatian Seniors Lodge #170 and Macedonian Social Organization . Memorial donations may be made in Bernice's name to St. Anthony Hospice, Crown Point, IN.
