BERL L. HARRIS (nee Boxley), age 99, of Naperville, IL and formerly of Merrillville, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020.
She is survived by three children: Michael (Martha) Harris, Jeanne (Jim) Mickschl, and Cynthia (Anthony) Risky; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Earl; two brothers; and three sisters.
Berl was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene and Wesleyan Church, both of Merrillville. She was a telephone operator for 37 years for Indiana Bell.
For those who knew her best, you’d know that Berl would have wanted a celebration for her close friends and loving family. However, due to COVID-19, a private service for only her immediate family will take place and she will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville.
