Anne C. McAvoy

ANNE C. (BABS) McAVOY (nee BABINCHAK) of Munster passed away peacefully Sunday night March 1 2009 at The Care Center at Hartsfield Village with her niece by her side. She was born to the late Michael and Mary Ann Babinchak grew up in Gary and graduated from Tolleston High School. In 1951 she married Monroe (Mac) McAvoy. Most of their married life was spent in Albuquerque New Mexico and later in California. After her husbands death in 1997 she returned to northwest Indiana. Babs is survived by two loving sisters: Mary Louise Utofka of Munster Margaret (William) Maddox of Lancaster Pennsylvania devoted niece Karen Roberts of Schererville IN. Preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Hariu Elizabeth Babinchak one brother Michael Babinchak. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 5885 Harrison St. Merrillville with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery Merrillville.
