Ann Carol Moberg

April 25, 1940 - July 16, 2009

Ann C. Moberg, age 69, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. She is survived by her son, Matthew Moberg of Columbus, OH; daughter, Amy Moberg of Portage, IN; 2 grandchildren: Evelynn Grace and Dominic Adam Moberg; 2 sisters: Patricia Janjecic of Joliet, IL and Judi James Bagaloff of Empire, MI; brother, George Doris Deane Janjecic of Valparaiso; nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents, George and Agnes Janjecic. Ann was a lifelong teacher for the Gary Public Schools and the Diocese of Gary Schools. She graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1958. Ann also was a graduate of Indiana University and received her Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Ladies Sodality. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM directly at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2447 Putnam Street, Lake Station, IN with Rev. Eduardo Malagon officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 17th from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville and on Saturday directly at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 10:00 AM.
