Mr. Nelson, Karen, Jackie & Rachel: My deepest sympathy upon the loss of your wife and mother. Since I will be attending another funeral at the same time on my husband's side of the family, I wanted to share a brief note with you. It has been a very long time since we have seen one another, but childhood stories are still shared whenever we get a chance. Just the other day, I was watching some videos our our early birthday parties and all of us were around the table sharing cake. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. My mom especially wanted to attend the funeral but is unable to drive because of macular degeneration and depends on us to get her about. Thoughts and prayers, Kathy Hinshaw Kathleen Williamson, former neighbor on Kathryn Drive and Shirley Williamson

Nelson will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Our consolation lies in the fact that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. While we recognize that you are experiencing a time of profound loss and sorrow. Proverbs 3:5-6 states ?Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.? Please remember that God can, God will, and it is up to us to accept what He does. To the family of Alice M. Marilyn Joyce left a message on August 11, 2005:
Dear Bud, Karen, Rachel and Jackie, I was so sad to learn of your Mother's passing. I have very fond memories of your family. Your Mother was so kind to me. She was our girlscout leader. I remember one incident when we were hosting a dinner for our mothers and the scouts were doing all the cooking. Your Mom asked if I knew how to cook hamburgers and I said sure. Though I'd never really cooked hamburgers I had certainly observed them being cooked. How hard could it be, right? Well the were certainly brown on the outside but blood red on the inside. Your Mom took a bite of one of my extremely rare patties and told me how delicious it was and proceeded to eat the whole thing, blood and all. She always took me home from scouts or band as often my sister and I had no way home and would have had to walk. My Mother-in-law always spoke very kindly of Alice. They were the mainstays of St. Christopher's for many years. I know Alice will be sorely missed at ST. Christophers. I lost my Mom about 8 years ago and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her but I rejoice in the knowledge that she is home in our Savior's loving arms as is your Mother. Sincerely, Marilyn Joyce
