An Expansion of Services in Northwest Indiana

Larry and Kim Geisen are thrilled to announce that Geisen Funeral Homes — with locations in Crown Point, Hebron, Merrillville, and Michigan City — has expanded its service offerings by acquiring Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, including its locations in Merrillville, Portage, and Crown Point.

Geisen Funeral Home has been in business for over 154 years, and Pruzin Funeral Home has been serving families over 90 years.

The acquisition comes after months of planning, and Thomas G. Pruzin and his son, TJ Pruzin, have been working hand-in-hand with the Geisen Funeral Home staff to ensure a smooth transition.

Larry and Kim and their son, Anthony Geisen, represent the fifth and sixth generations of their family in funeral service. They are proud to have this opportunity continue their family’s legacy of high-quality service by reaching even more Northwest Indiana families.

Following the acquisition, funeral directors Thomas G. Pruzin, TJ Pruzin, and Jonathon Christiansen will continue serving families at all funeral home locations with the compassion and care their families have come to know.

Many Northwest Indiana families have previously prearranged and pre-paid funeral services with Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service. These accounts will be honored and will remain intact.
