My deepest condolences... All of the Ryans Prayers will be with you and your family in this difficult time. I will never forget hangin with your dad about 20 years ago at Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I know, Of All The Places To Meet! We were broadcasting live on the Tropical Island balcony. Lisa... you brought your Dad up who was in town visiting. I'm sure he had some great life experiences in his day but the look on his face for the entire time he was up there was priceless. He was riding the railing of that balcony taking in all that Bourdon Street had to offer for hours. It was exciting and absolutely crazy for all of us up there. I'm so glad he got to see it first hand, and you were able to share that with him! I wish you all strength in this time. Rod

Rest in Peace Bill. You remain forever in our hearts. We Love You! Dear Greg, Lisa, Doug, Chris and your families; Our family tree bears a strong bark representing your grandparents; Eugene & Aileen and six strong branches representing each of the six Walczak siblings; Arlene, Ron, Bill, Shirley, Denise and Christine. Each branch has grown larger with the passing of time and is filled with a vast amount of new twigs and beautiful leaves to represent new family members, special events and precious memories. One of the leaves on your Dad's branch carries the memory of a warm, sweet story of the early 1960's we've chosen to share with you to lighten your hearts. As newlyweds, Uncle Jim and I lived in our first apartment on Lake Avenue in Whiting - 2 blocks away from George Rogers Clark High School. Your handsome Dad was a high school freshman at Clark and stopped by for lunch several times a week with a daily request for his favorite lunch item, 'FRENCH TOAST'. While I prepared his lunch, the 'TEENAGED UNCLE BILL' shared some playtime with his first toddler niece, Donna, who welcomed his visits with a great big smile. After lunch we had a bit of time to visit before he headed back to school. This cherished memory is as warm and sweet as warm maple syrup over 'FRENCH TOAST' and one we will treasure forever. May fond memories of the past help you through this time of sorrow. God Bless You - Stay Strong, Love, Uncle Jim and Auntie Arlene

Mr. Walczak was someone who really could do anything. He influenced my life to be the best at whatever I tried to do, and from an early age I wanted to be just like him. Although I fell a little short, no one could measure up to the individual who he was. He was a fabricator, designer, athlete, carpenter, engine rebuilder, plumber, electrician, and the list goes on. Whenever I asked him for help on a project he would help me never wanting anything in return. He was a very selfless individual, and we have lost a great person. I am glad I had a chance to know him. To Greg, Doug, Chris, and Lisa, I am sorry for your loss.

Bill was a part of lives for many years. Many beers were shared while shooting some games of pool. His comments were always priceless. More beers were involved while throwing bean bags, trying to achieve that "4 bagger" status. However, the times we most remember are the Saturdays he would come to our house and we would share lunch and just sit around talking. Invariably the conversations would include our children and the pride Bill had for his kids. We miss those good times and will forever hold those memories close to our hearts. We send our deepest sympathy to his family and all who loved him so much.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Bill was a very good friend of mine at work. His passion was solving problems and I teamed up with him on things like creating chemical wash tanks to replace lead pots On galvanizing lines. Creating a completely automated hole punch machine which was preformed by hand previously. I only smoked at work and very seldom at that so when we went for coffee I would bum a smoke form Bill and I bought the coffee which worked perfect for me. So when Bill quite I also had to darn it. It was really a joy to work with Bill and I miss those good times. My sympathy to all those in his family he will be missed

To my dear cousins, my heart aches for you and the unimaginable pain you’re going through. I’m praying that God bring you peace and comfort as you maneuver through this time of heartache. Try to remember the good times and the legacy he left behind. Sometimes that helps. Remember to celebrate him and laugh at all the great times you all shared together. He would want to see you all smile. He’s not suffering anymore and most of all he’s reunited with his one true love, Auntie Joanne as well as my dad and grandma and grandpa. They say heaven is a peaceful place where there is love and contentment...and he will be watching over all of you now...your special guardian angel. Love to you all, Gina

Greg (Jen), Lisa, Doug, Chris (Gina) and Colton and Chloe..... I can’t find the words to express the sadness I’m feeling. My eyes are filled with tears for all of you , so, I try to think of the happy and joyful times of dad and uncle Ron. I’ll never forget how happy uncle Ron was when dad bagged his first goose .... with Smokey to retrieve it....they were both elated with joy . Many years ago, but the memory still lingers . The dates I had with uncle Ron going to US 30 drag strip watching dad race..... the fun times indeed? Hearts are hurting , but, we will be comforted knowing there is no more suffering , no more pain. Dad is home with Our Heavenly Father, mom and uncle Ron . I am praying for all of you and love you too With a loving and prayerful heart Aunty Carole

really sorry to hear about his passing. i enjoyed working with him. One crazy thing happened one day in cafeteria. There was this ringing noise and he kept telling us to figure out what it was. After many expletives and demanding the noise stop, we told him it was his beeper needed a battery change. He always said he didnt have a hearing problem followed by WHAT> We'll miss him.

My memories of Uncle Bill will always be treasured. From swimming in his pool when we were very young, up until our chats when I would cut his hair 2 years ago. He was so handsome and always generous and kind! He once told me that he had his one and only true love with Auntie Joanne, and it gives me happiness to know they are together again in paradise! I love you Uncle Bill! You will be greatly missed! My love and condolences to my cousins at this time.
