WARREN C. “KIT” KITNER, age 84 of Crown Point; formerly of Lowell and South Holland, IL, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013. Survived by wife June of 65 years; son Kurt Kitner of AZ; daughter-in-law Patricia Kitner of Griffith; grandchildren Nicholas Kitner of Indianapolis and Alison Kitner of Grifith; sister Iris (Aldo) Beltrame of Oak Forest, IL; and sister-in-law Caryle (Joseph) De Simini of Lowell. Preceded in death by son Mark and parents Ira & Adeline Kitner. Mr. Kitner was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. He was a retired insurance agent with Prudential Life Insurance, Chicago Heights with 28 years of service. Kit enjoyed golfing and he coached Little League teams in Dolton and Riverdale and he was a former member of the Lowell Senior’s Club. Kit also served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service (811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point) on Monday from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 11:30 A.M. from the Pruzin & Little Chapel with Rev. Dan Barnum-Steggerda officiating. At rest Maplewood Memorial Cemetery, Crown Point. Memorials are preferred to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
