Violet Fane, age 82 of Michigan City, Indiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 20, 1938 in Harvey, IL to Charles and Elaine (Johnson) Johnson.
Violet married Paul L. Fane Jr. on June 16, 1956.
Violet is survived by her children, Charles (Noel) Fane, Margaret Fane, Ellen (Efrain) Gonzalez and Christopher Fane; grandson, Matthew Fane. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; son, Paul L. Fane III; brothers, Russell and Al Johnson; and sister, Muriel Johnson.
Violet was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Illinois and Indiana, the White Shrine, the Firecracker Fillies Red Hat Society.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 10 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Geisen Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN 46360 with Pastor Reshan officiating. A private burial will take place at Swan Lake Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Michiana Humane Society, 722 Indiana Highway 212, Michigan City, IN 46360.
