Verna M. Kasper, age 79, of Michigan City, IN formerly of Fowler, IN, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was born on November 28, 1942 in Joliet, IL to William and Alice (Anderson) Kasper who preceded her in death.

Verna is survived by her children, Lorna (Jeff) Hines, Juanita (Neal) Loucks, Bill (Nicole) Brummett; grandchildren, Gregory, Sarah, and Richard Hines, Angelie Beatty, Jonathan Greenlaw, Justin, Jillian, and Chase Brummett; and many great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Lewey; and her beloved bird, Paulie of 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her significant other, Ralph Burke; brothers and sisters, Laverne Kasper, William Kasper, and Betty Triem.

Verna graduated from Lincoln-Way Central High School in 1960 and was an Administrative Secretary for Powell Systems Inc. from 1974-2009. She loved fishing, camping, going on trips up to Wisconsin, antiques, crossword puzzles, and thrifting. Verna was greatly loved by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
