THOMAS TOMSOBIERAJSKI age 65 of Hebron formerly of Merrillville passed away Wednesday January 7 2009. Survived by wife of 24 years Barbara three children: John (Diane) Sobierajski of Wheatfield Christina (Bill) McQuen of Texas Robert Morgan of Crown Point five grandchildren: Johnny and Jennifer Sobierajski Kyle Brandon and Alex McQuen brother Eugene (late Cecelia) Sobierajski of Portage sister-in-law Marianne Sobierajski of Merrillville father and mother-in-law Bob and Lois Hinkson of Crown Point. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Florence Sobierajski sister Lillian Malec brother Joseph Sobierajski nephew Doug Sobierajski. Tom was a retired planner Plant #4 Weld Shop Mittal Steel Co. with 40 years of service. He was a graduate of Gary Edison High School and was a trumpet player with the Velvetones and Polka Knights bands. Tom was such a good caring man i feel blessed to have known him and his family. Tom was always so good with my mom and thank you tom for being so caring with her. You will be missed but not forgotten. love connie

Just wanted to share my condolences to the sobierajski family. I had the great pleasure of meeting Tom when I did his mri at diagnostic specialties center awhile back. He then came in for his pet scans and we would always get to visit and catch up on things. Sometimes its difficult in our professionevery so often we have a patient that gets into our hearts for one reason or another and Tom was one of those patients. My deepest sympathys.

Tom -- we will miss you. You and Barb were such good neighbors and friends. Visits in the garage on the back porch or in your home were always filled with humor and great stories. Always willing to lend a helping hand. Always a willing customer for Violets Girl Scout cookies. May you find peace and comfort in the new life you have begun with God.
