Sue Ellen Sloan (neé Metsch), age 70, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020.
Sue Ellen is survived by her husband, Kenneth James Sloan: children: Lisa Ann (Al) Lizotte of Bay Minette, AL, Jennifer Sue (Clayton) Molden of Goodland, IN, Richard James (Cynthia) Monroe of Crown Point, and William Walter (Amy) Monroe of Valparaiso; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Osika Madej of Hobart, IN and brothers: Merrill Keller of FL and Michael Metsch of OR.
Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her parents: Walter J. and Edith P. Metsch; sister, Rosemary Colvin; and brothers: Howard Keller, Walter Metsch, Paul “Tommy” Metsch, Karl Metsch and Alfred Metsch.
Sue Ellen was born in, and spent most of her life, in Crown Point. She served the community as a Crown Point Police Dispatcher and Record Keeper, as well as a Civil Defense volunteer. Sue Ellen lived in several areas around the city and county, settling in at a wonderful house on Hermits Lake with her husband, Kenneth. She enjoyed antiquing, visiting Lake Michigan lighthouses, gardening and just being out and about with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
A Memorial Visitation will be on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307, from 1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating.
Due to Covid-19, visitation will be limited, social distancing at 6 feet and face masks will be required.
