I remember Steven as a sweet, shy, kind, and creative little boy. How hard it can be to move through the world with a kind heart. God grant peace to him and all who love him, and make his memory to be eternal in the high places and in the hearts he touched. So very sorry for your terribly sad loss.

Renée Farrar (Rysiewicz) left a message on June 10, 2022:
I’m so sad to say that I didn’t have the privilege of meeting Steven’s wife and children. Tom and Laura, I have thought of you both so often. I cannot express the pain I feel for you right now. My memories of Steven have always been a source of happiness. When he and I went to see Yo-Yo Ma solo with the CSO, we were desperate to get a signature. It seemed impossible. At intermission in the basement of the performance hall, Yo-Yo Ma’s security wouldn’t let anyone backstage. Suddenly, Steven broke out in sobs. Flabbergasted by the outburst, they let us in, and as soon as we were out of earshot, he said, “I can’t believe that worked. I’m doing that for Itzahk Perlman, too.” Other than Yo-Yo Ma’s childhood neighbors, we were the only ones allowed backstage. This is the Steven I have always known in my heart. I love him and and his family so much. Steven, I am so grateful for the role you’ve played in my life. I am so sorry I could not make it back in time for the service. I’m sorry we didn’t connect more before you left. Love you, my friend.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My dear family; there are simply no words at this time that could adequately express my feelings regarding the loss of Steven. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Take care of each other in the coming days and know that the tsunami of emotions will, in time, quiet down to a tricks… to a place where the tears will turn into a smile at the memories you shared and created with Steven. Be patient and feel all of the feelings you’re experiencing and know that with deep love comes deep grief! I’ll be here for any one of you at any time you need me. Prayers for strength, peace and healing. ❤️‍? Love, Karen

My deepest condolences to Steven’s family. I will miss Steven’s sweet smile and genuine kindness. I have had the pleasure to work with him and know what a wonderful caring Nurse he was. Last week he cared for my family member at Franciscan, and he was supportive and kind with myself and my Son, who Steven knew was hurting. He told my 17 y.o. Son while walking down the hall with him “You have a nice Mom.” Steven always had a kind thought and words to say. Thank you Steven. You will be missed by many. Rest In Peace in the arms of the Angels. My Son immediately called me and said how kind he was.

You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of Steven. I met him as he cared for my mother at Franciscan. He was so kind and cared for my mother better than any other nurse. He helped me through the end of her life and explained everything that she might go through. I’m so saddened by his passing. When he told me his name was Andreoli, I said I knew a Tom Andreoli at NiSource and on went our many conversations. God Bless you all at such a sad time. He was a wonderful young man.
