Silvio M. Giannini

SILVIO MARIO GIANNINI age 83 of Schererville formerly of Merrillville passed away Wednesday February 2 2011. He was born on September 21 1927 in Rocchetta Al Volturno Italy to Pio & Tommasina Giannini. Survived by wife Amalia (nee Ciccone) of 56 years son Thomas (Sherry) Giannini and Dino (Susan) Giannini both of Schererville 9 grandchildren: Victor Joseph Kathryn Alyse Bruno Hollie Mollie Dante & Mario Giannini and numerous brothers-in-law sisters-in-law nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents brothers Ray & Antonio Giannini sister Maria Pontarelli sister-in-law Maria Giannini and nephews Ray Giannini & Gerald Fage. Mr. Giannini was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Schererville and a former member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Merrillville and St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Gary. Silvio left his home in Italy in 1949 and settled in Gary. He was a honest and dedicated worker and achieved the American Dreamin 1971 when he started Sylvio Giannini Cement Works Inc. He was a 50 year member of the OPCMIA Local #692.
